Above you can see our Block Center as it is set up in the classroom.

Below you can see explanations of each of the items pictured above.

1. Bristle Blocks

From Lakeshore, these unbreakable blocks assure success for all little builders. The soft bristles interlock when put together and stay attached until pulled apart.  See links below to purchase a set of bristle blocks for your classroom.

2.Cardboard Bricks

These blocks are sturdy, yet lightweight and very quiet.  The cardboard bricks pictured above were purchased at a garage sale 5 years ago for $1 and are still going strong.  The students love to build with the large bricks, yet they are harmless if knocked over.

3. Magnet Blocks

From Lakeshore these blocks are very sturdy and easy to put together.  They are very popular in Pre-K because of their ease and they can go together any way kids choose for no-fail building.

4. & 5.Soft Blocks

These soft blocks  are indestructible, lightweight, and very quiet.  I purchased a set like this on ebay 5 years ago and they are still in fantastic shape.  The students love to build with them and they are whisper soft so nobody ever gets hurt.    See links below to purchase a set of these quiet and durable blocks for your classroom.
