Chinese Restaurant Dramatic Play Printables

Restaurants are familiar places to most young children which makes them the perfect choice for a dramatic play center in preschool or kindergarten. A restaurant dramatic play center can provide many natural literacy, math, and writing opportunities that support early learning standards.

The Chinese Restaurant theme also supports multiculturalism and can be used during the Lunar New Year or other holidays such as the autumn Moon Festival.

Free Printable Chinese Restaurant Labels

I created these free printable labels for you to go along with the new Chinese Restaurant dramatic play kit. To make these customized take-out bags and boxes I printed the labels on Avery Sticker Project Paper and then I cut them out and attached them to the boxes and bags. I found both the plain brown bags and the take-out boxes in the party aisle at my local dollar store.

DIY Lo Mein for Dramatic Play

I also made this lo-mein pictured above. It was very easy to make, first, I cut up some noodle colored yarn. Then, I cut out pieces of craft foam; brown for mushrooms, orange for carrots, and green for pea pods. I mixed it all together and put it in the take-out cartons- yum!
