The Story Behind Fergus Ferry – A Transportation Hero

The author, John Williamson Noble came up with the idea for Fergus Ferry with his young son, Tom in mind. John traveled to and from work daily on the ferry which gave him time to create these cute rhyming stories. Not only are the stories engaging and fun, but each one also features a different life lesson such as bravery, dealing with bullies, don’t play with fire, and many more.

The beautifully detailed illustrations were created by Peter Townsend. The adorable characters Peter has created will endear Fergus and all his friends to readers both young and old alike.

About the Fergus Ferry Books

What I like best about the Fergus Ferry books are the character traits included in each one. I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that the “what’s in it for me?” generation {insert cranky old lady voice here} could really benefit from a little help in the character development department. Lessons like “doing what’s right even when others don’t” is a must, along with “being a good friend” and “don’t be a bully.” Fergus delivers these urgent messages in a lovely rhyming format accompanied by lively illustrations. Maybe there is hope for today’s youth after all!

As if the free app wasn’t enough, the kind folks at Fergus Ferry are also offering a complete set of 24 Fergus story books (real books!) to one lucky Pre-K Pages reader. These books would make a great addition to your home or classroom library and have a retail value of $89!
