Free Printable Labels for Grocery Store Pretend Play
These small tomato paste and mushroom cans are the perfect size for your dramatic play grocery store. Open, empty, dry, and use a metal file to smooth any jagged edges on the open end. Next, turn the cans upside down so the opening is on the bottom, remove the label and cover your cans with the free printable sticker labels below.
I created these labels to match the printable grocery store kit so you can stock your shelves with “store brands.” I printed the labels on Avery Sticker Project Paper but you could also use a Xyron machine or packing tape to secure the labels to the cans.

Stuff an empty parmesan cheese container with shredded yellow construction paper. Make sure to secure the lid with hot glue.
If your students need practice with coins and money then write the denominations on some dot labels and put them on the food in your dramatic play center.
Printable Grocery Store Bar Codes for Pretend Play
Preschool and kindergarten students are digital natives and they are most familiar with cash registers that scan prices. I made these free printable bar code stickers for you to place on the play food in your dramatic play center for a more realistic play experience.
I printed these bar codes on sticker paper and cut them apart but you can also use your Xyron machine or packing tape.
Fruit and Veggie Stickers
For plastic fruit and veggies I added sticker dot labels and wrote the “codes” on with a permanent marker.
