Six Sorting Food Puzzles
This month our Guidecraft Educator’s Group is reviewing a set of six sorting food puzzles. I love using puzzles in the classroom because they help young children in preschool and kindergarten develop critical thinking skills.
About the Sorting Food Trays
These high-quality wooden puzzle trays are designed to withstand the rigors of daily classroom use. The raised pieces make it easy for young children to grasp and manipulate. They are quite large at 11″ x 14″ each so if you’re wondering where to store these bad boys I’ve got your back! Luck would have it that they fit nicely in my DIY recycled Priority Mail puzzle rack.
Benefits of using the Guidecraft Sorting Food Puzzles
- Hand-eye coordination
- Promote nutrition and healthy eating habits
- Encourage diversity and multi-cultural awareness
- Spatial relationships

- Critical thinking
- Add these to your dramatic play center to incorporate fine motor development
Puzzles Included
This set of sorting food puzzles would be useful in any preschool or special needs classroom; they would also make a great gift for any young child.
Disclosure: I received a complimentary set of Sorthing Food puzzles to review, I was not compensated in any other way. All opinions are 100% my own.
