Pets Theme Activities for Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten
Do your kids love cats, dogs, birds, fish and other types of pets? A pets theme is perfect any time of the year! A pets theme can teach children about the different types of animals that make good pets and how to care for pets, such as meeting their needs of food, water, shelter and love. This is an important part of developing empathy!
As your kids participate in activities around a common theme about pets, they will begin to develop important early learning skills such as oral language, phonological awareness, number sense, and more!
