Top of the Class is a collection of teacher created websites.   Top of the Class was created for teachers to share their talents with each other via their classroom websites; as teachers we are each others greatest resource. How do I join Top of the Class?

How do I add a "vote for me" banner to my website?

Once you have registered you can click on "profiles" to select your voting banner, there are 3 styles to choose from.  You must copy and paste the code provided in the profiles section to your website's index or home page.  If the code is not pasted exactly as shown then you will not be receiving votes or your voting banner may not appear on your site.

How do I add my class website banner to the Top of the Class list?

In your profiles section there is a space at the bottom where you can upload your banner.

How do I add a description of my website to the Top of the Class list?

In the profiles section there is a space where you can type in your website description.  There is a limit on the maximum number of characters the space will allow so keep it short and sweet.

How do I make a banner for my website to post on Top of the Class?

Creating your own banner is easy, it's as simple as adding text to a graphic.  If you have your own website then this will be a breeze.  Using the graphic program of your choice (I use Photoshop) open the graphic you want to add text to.  Select your text font and color and type the text onto the graphic.  Save the graphic to your computer and upload your graphic to your web host.   Now you are ready to upload your banner to Top of the Class in the profiles section.

Can I place the voting banner on more than one page of my website?

YES, the more banners you place on your site the more votes you may receive.

Where should I place the voting banner on my website?

Ideally the voting banner should be on your website's homepage, if you would like to have the voting banner on other pages of your site in addition to the homepage that is fine.
