My dramatic play bakery inspired me to keep going and create a new pizza theme. I’ve also created a free printable for you that is available at the bottom of this post.
Felt Pizza for Dramatic Play Pizza Shop
I’m still obsessed with felt food so I channeled my inner creative diva and bought this adorable felt pizza pictured above from the Melissa and Doug line.
Magnetic Sign Menu
I re-used my super cheap and easy DIY magnetic sign for the menu.
Pizza Shop Menu
You could also use a pocket chart from the Dollar Spot to hold the menu cards.
One of my all time favorite books is “Hi, Pizza Man!” by Virginia Walter. This is the perfect book to introduce the dramatic play pizza shop to your students!
Free Printable Name Tags for Pizza Shop Employees
I created some free, printable name tags for you below. These name tags can be placed in clear, vinyl badge holders with clips from Wal-Mart or you can just laminate them for durability, punch holes at the top, and put yarn or string through the holes to create necklaces. Place the badges in your dramatic play pizza shop for the children along with some Via-a-Vis markers and invite them to write their names on the badges.

I am going to have to break down and try to make some felt food Vanessa!! I love how versatile felt food can be! Easy to store, easy to play with, and only limited by my own ability to create it!
I would love to see what you come up with Deb! I’m afraid I’m all thumbs when it comes to sewing or crafts -same for cooking too!
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing — I will pass it on!

This is a fun one too! Great way to extend the grocery store fun as well.
