Frog Street Splash Giveaway

What do teachers do during the summer? Many people think teachers sit by the pool all day in the summer sipping ice cold lemonade while working on their tans. Ummm… NO!

The truth is that most teachers spend a lot of time during the summer months preparing for the upcoming school year. This prep involves everything from shopping for supplies with their own money, to reading professional books, writing lesson plans, and preparing engaging activities for students they haven’t even met yet.

You know what else a lot of teachers do during the summer? Attend professional development. Yep, true story. Teachers spend their hard earned time off learning more about their chosen professions, and often throughout the school year too, after hours and on weekends. That’s dedication!

While the thought of professional development may sound boring, not all professional development was created equal.

What if I told you that there was an early childhood conference that was actually FUN? One that would inspire, educate, and motivate? No lie!

I have attended the annual Splash Early Childhood Educational Conference nine times and have been honored to speak there on three separate occasions. This year, the 23rd annual SPLASH conference will take place July 30-August 1, 2015 at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas.

Who Should Attend Splash?

What I like most about SPLASH (besides all the FUN!) is that there are sessions for all teachers: Infant, Toddler, Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade, and administrators -yes, even administrators are invited!

Splash Topics

There are more than 90 sessions at SPLASH to choose from covering a broad range of topics:

  • Language and Literacy
  • Brain Research
  • Technology
  • Bilingual/ESL/ELL
  • Common Core
  • Special Needs/Inclusion
  • And more!

Splash Fun!

While SPLASH is a great opportunity for teachers to learn, it has so much more to offer teachers!

The following are just some of the special events planned at this year’s Splash event:

  • Opening concert featuring Don Monopoli of The Learning Station, Stephen Fite of Melody House, and Shawn Brown of Super Fun Show
  • A pajama party with your favorite bloggers
  • Lots of awesome door prizes
  • Comedy with Jack Berckemeyer
  • Circus Celebration Dinner and a Costume Parade!

I’ll be speaking at Splash again this year and I’m super excited to offer one of you an opportunity to attend Splash for FREE!
