I absolutely love using Fairy Tales in the classroom, I try to incorporate them throughout the year whenever possible.
One of my favorite fairy tales is Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
I created this free Goldilocks and the Three Bears mini-word wall, click on the picture at the top to download your copy. I put the mini-word walls inside the student’s writing folders in case they want to write about what we are learning, which is quite often.
Fairy Tales are also a great way to teach about story elements such as the beginning, middle, and end of a story.
You can assess your student’s understanding of story elements with these sequencing pictures from the Goldilocks Literacy Packet.
We read many versions of Goldilocks and the Three Bears to compare and contrast; one of my favorites is this simple version pictured above by Byron Barton.
