Jack and Jill Literacy Activities
Alphabet Clothespin Activity
This activity incorporates development of fine motor skills as well as letter identification. Both upper and lowercase versions of the game are included. The alphabet clothespin activity is included in the Ultimate Nursery Rhyme bundle.
Jack and Jill Alphabet Game
Available in both black and white and color, this is a fun game that reinforces letter identification skills. The alphabet game is included in the Ultimate Nursery Rhyme bundle. The game also includes two black and white recording sheets, one for upper and one for lowercase letters.
Jack and Jill Theme Alphabet T-Charts

Pocket Chart

Jack and Jill Sequence Pictures
Students will cut and glue pictures from the rhyme in the correct sequence on construction paper. Both three and four part sequence pictures are available to meet the needs of your students. While I am not a big fan of worksheetsc this activity can be used to measure comprehension, sequence of events, and the ability to follow directions. Jack and Jill Path Games

Act Out the Rhyme Jack and Jill
Materials: pail or bucket, large picture of a well.
Select two students to be “Jack” and “Jill”, give them a pail to hold and have them pretend to to walk up a hill to “fetch a pail of water”. As the children are acting out the rhyme have the whole class say the rhyme out loud with you. Continue acting out the rhyme until all students have had a turn to be one of the characters in the rhyme.
