Dramatic Play Telephone

No matter what theme you have in your dramatic play center you can easily incorporate the teaching telephone to support oral language development, number identification skills and more. I have used this phone in my classroom for many years and it is a favorite with every class.

Free Printable Teaching Telephone Cards

I made these free phone number cards for you to use in your dramatic play center, your kids can refer to the chart when making phone calls.

Just print on cardstock, write in the phone numbers, and place in a pocket chart in your dramatic play center.

I intentionally left the phone number space blank so you can use the area code and prefixes for your location, which will be more meaningful for your students also help them learn their own phone numbers. I have also included one blank card for you to customize.

  1. Thanks for the video! I just had to buy one after seeing how much fun the kids will have with it, and thanks for mentioning the cord, it’s much safer without it! BTW, I love all the dramatic play printables you make! Thanks!

  2. Dear Vanessa,
I just purchased the Phone Smart Teaching Telephone with one day delivery. I can’t wait to get it in my dramatic play center so the children can practice dialing 911. Our firemen are coming on Thursday to put the children to the test on knowing what to do in case of a fire. You have been my mentor for a long time now and I want to thank you so much for everything I’ve learned from you to make me a better pre-k teacher. God bless you for all you do for all of us.
    Happy Easter,
    Mrs. Sue
