I love reading the story of The Little Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie at Thanksgiving!
This printable game goes along with the story and is great fun for children in your preschool, pre-k, or kindergarten classroom.

Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie Printable
Well, wouldn’t you know it? As soon as I published my Thanksgiving Literacy and Math packets last week I discovered some super cute images at Scrappin Doodles that would have been perfect to include. Since it was too late I decided to create this free printable for you!
Supplies Needed:
Do-a-Dot Markers
Soft Pocket Cube
This game goes along with one of my favorite Thanksgiving books, I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie by Alison Jackson.
How to Play
These types of games are fun and simple to play. There are two pages included, the first one is the recording sheet and the second page has pictures that you cut out and insert into a pocket die or attach to the outside of a square box.
Give one recording sheet to each child in your small group. Print out the pictures, cut, and place in a pocket die.
Next, the students take turns rolling the die and recording their rolls on their recording sheet with a Do-A-Dot marker.
If your students are able you can have them write the numbers in the box instead of using the Do-A-Dot marker. Ask your students questions about how many of each item they rolled and which one has more or less to reinforce math concepts.
