I created another I-spy beginning sounds activity for you similar to the one I made for Halloween. This harvest I-Spy bottle one goes with the theme of harvest or Thanksgiving. The pictures included are: sunflower, pumpkin, scarecrow, corn, leaf, and acorn.
How to Make an I-Spy Bottle
Here are the original directions for making the Halloween I-Spy bottle.
The buttons are called Dress It Up Harvest and I purchased them at Hobby Lobby. The buttons do not include acorns but I put a few I found in my front yard in the bottle.
I-Spy Bottle Supplies Needed
- VOSS Plastic water bottle
- Plastic Pellets
- Harvest Dress It Up buttons
- Acorns
- Hot Glue Gun and glue sticks
- OR E6000 Glue
- Washi Tape
How to Use the I-Spy Bottle Printable
This free printable will provide your students with practice identifying beginning sounds.
To play, students will shake the bottle and find an object inside, identify the beginning sound of the object, and write the letter in the box next to the corresponding picture.
Your kids will have tons of fun shaking the bottle to find the different buttons or objects inside, and then writing the beginning sounds on their recording sheet!
Click on the picture above to download your free Harvest I Spy printable.
This is a great idea. I love that the kids have to find all of the objects AND they have to guess the beginning sound. Awesome!
